About E-Learning: What is “blended” e-learning and how can this methodology be helpful to my church?

Blended e-learning incorporates the “learning of information” via an online e-learning environment, with personal mentorship for life-application within a brick-and-mortar classroom environment. Blended e-learning is ideal for local church ministry. The classic church classroom experience has typically emphasized the sharing of information yet has left little time during classroom sessions to stress personal life-application. Blended e-learning allows the student to acquire the necessary information online, at their convenience, and empowers the mentors to spend the majority of their classroom time focusing upon life-application of the knowledge the students have acquired. Blended e-learning may make use of either synchronous or asynchronous e-learning formats.
